this is our first nights dinner.. we were AT a cabin.. but cooked foil dinners 'old school' over the fire!
then headed off to the lake the next day. and it was COLD! it was a huge temperature change from where we were staying!! the kids brought swim suits thinking they'd play & fish.. but it turned out being 60 degrees & sprinkling.. a wee bit cold!
they still put forth the effort though!
and the chicks no longer look like babies!! they look like CHICKENS! go figure..
we always seem to have some sort of HOLE or place for the kids to play!
this was a freshly dug hole for our new tree out front! poor kev, dug it all by himself..
not sure what specimen of tree this is.. but it's CUTE!
.
we gots to get that there tree.. over to that there hole... but how??
but by sliding it across pipe of course!!!
BRILLIANT!
TADA!!! just like magic baby!
and this little guy really didn't feel like being planted!
he was hiding inside the wood box that the tree was in.. then he died a slow, slow, treacherous death inside a jar.. ooopsies!
AND.. speaking of holes.. here's another one.
we dug out our old, half dead, sad looking tree to replace it w/ a beautiful apricot tree. (i just asked myself why i don't have a picture of it!)
the hole quickly turned into a mud bath! filled it completely up w/ water and watched the kids disappear--it was quite deep.

That mud hole looks AWESOME! I totally would have gotten in there, can you imagine how great your skin would feel afterwards? It was probably cool too.

Thanks so much for bringing those booklets over with your mom! I'm thrilled to go through them and learn more! Oh and that is really, really wierd that your booklet didn't have the sour cream in it. Mine must be super special! (I did get your text but forgot to respond-don't hate)
