Surgery complete!

Okay, I really DO NOT want to post pics of myself this close up, but oh well. Turns out the "hip glasses" weren't so HIP after all.. :(
Just 2 little plastic shields that I have to tape across my face. I had to wear them all day after the surgery, then after that, just at night (for 7 seven days). Make sure I don't bump them with the sheets or pillows, or even rub them on accident. Because touching them in any way, shape or form is a BIG NO-NO!
It was like everything, all the discovery channels, & CNN specials had talked about. They pry your eyes open so you can't blink or move them. Make sure you have enough drops so they're numb & can't feel a thing. Then kinda scrape up the lens part... line up the laser.. and you can hear, see & smell (yes, smell) the laser doing its job. That part was only like 9 seconds or something. The whole time (arriving & leaving) was only 2 hours. With most of that obviously prep & rest. I can SEE today. Weird to think that when I go to bed tonight, I don't have to take out my contact lenses before I go to bed. I can still go to bed---being able to see! :)

Congrats! You look fabulous! I had lasik done last summer and am loving life without glasses! Now, I have 2 kids in glasses. It's weird to take them to the eye dr. when I don't even need to go myself!
